Born in 1970 in Tehran, Ali Reza Amini is a graduate of stage directing. He has
made more than 20 short and documentary films and he was also an assistant
director to Bahman Ghobadi's A Time for the Drunken Horses too. His three
film, Letters in the Wind encountered some problem with its state pro
duction company and it was shown after a year and together with Mr. Amini's
second film, Tiny Snowflakes & The River side. These three films
have brought him international recognition as well as a number of
prestigious awards from Locarno, Pusan, Thessaloniki, Milan, Karlove vary and Brisbane festivals.
